News Death Notice

WALLACE, Carolyn Baich 89, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Lorain passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Wallace was born in Youngstown on July 7, 1923, the daughter of the late Sam and Anna (nee Klaich) Baich. She was a member of the former Emmanuel United Methodist Church,Lorain,OH. She worked in the cafeteria for the Lorain City School system, retiring in 1979 after 10 years service. Carrie Wallace was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Lorain Eastern Star, Beavercreek Republican Women's Club, and the Dayton VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters, Debborah L. Wallace, with whom she made her home, Karen G. (Chuck Jr.) Armstrong, of Tampa, FL, sister. She will be sorely missed by her dear friends that she made through living here in Dayton and Beavercreek. Funeral Services were held in Lorain, Ohio on February 27 and Burial was in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio. She was laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Gordon George Wallace on the same date as her late husband's birthday. Debborah will host a memorial for her mother on Sunday, March 3 at the Banjara Banquet Center at 818 Factory Road from 3:00 to 6:00 with a service at 4:00 p.m. This will be a Celebration of Carrie's life through Dessert which she loved. If you would like, please bring a dessert to the celebration.
