MCCORMACK, Charlene L. "Char" Funeral service for Mrs. Charlene "Char" L. McCormack, age 77, of Hideaway, Texas is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindale, Texas with Rev. Steven Paradis officiating. Private entombment will follow in the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mrs. McCormack died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at her residence in Hideaway. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 25, 1936 to the late Lyndon Celestine and Mary Theresa Barhorst Francis and was formerly of Sylvania, Ohio before moving to Hideaway in 1993. Mrs. McCormack graduated from Julienne Catholic High School in Dayton, Ohio and retired from General Motors
after 28 years. She enjoyed most the time spent with her grandchildren, her many international family trips and traveling the country to attend horse shows with her three children. Mrs. McCormack was an avid gardener and golfer, belonging to both the Ladies 9 & 18-hole Golf Clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, George Clarence Francis. Mrs. McCormack is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Ray McCormack of Hideaway, Texas; son & daughter-in-law, James S. & Holly Joy McCormack of Morganton, North Carolina; daughters & sons-in-law, Kelli R. & Dennis M. Brown of Milledgeville, Georgia and March M. & Stephen F. Ferguson, Jr. of Tyler, Texas; 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, Darrel & Judy Francis of Dayton, Ohio and David & Louise Francis of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan; 2 sisters & brothers-in-law, Barbara & Charles Upthegrove of Dayton, Ohio and Sonja & Jim Ralph of Cincinnati, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, J. Patrick McCormack of Boone, North Carolina and Matthew R. McCormack of West Point, New York, Michael James Ferguson of Tyler, Texas, Mackenzie Kate Ferguson of Tyler, Texas; 4 step-grandchildren, Stephanie R. York, Abby R. Marks, Spencer B. Marks, and Aaron J. Marks. Serving as pallbearers will be James S. McCormack, Stephen F. Ferguson, Jr., Michael J. Ferguson, and Dennis M. Brown. The Rosary will be recited Sunday, November 24, 2013, beginning at 3:00 P.M. in the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel and the family will receive friends following until 5:00 P.M.
