Charles Cleo (Charlie) CANTRELL


News Death Notice

CANTRELL, Charles Cleo, "Charlie" age 87, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on October 30, 2013. Charlie was born in West Carrolton, OH and resided in the Dayton area until 1991. He was preceded in death by Helen, his loving wife of almost 60 years, his brother Delbert Cantrell and his great granddaughter Sophia Galperin. He is survived by his children Chris Cantrell and his partner Linda Korycki of Port Jervis, NY, Helen Mary Wyskiver of New Port Richey, FL, and Steven Cantrell and his wife Jeannie of Beavercreek, OH, sisters Marabelle Hill, Margaret Orf, Mila Campbell and Marilyn Bradbury, grandchildren Jamie Galperin, Joseph Cantrell and his wife Stephanie, and Justin Cantrell, and great grandchildren Zackary, Madeline, and Mackenzie Cantrell, and Eva Galperin. Charlie proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, worked for NCR for 28 years as a field engineer, and was the founder and owner of Dayton Accounting Machines Company for eleven years. He was an avid golfer, having made four holes-in-one and shooting his age at the age of 81. Charlie was a great guy and will be terribly missed by his family and friends. Private services will be held at a later date.
