News Death Notice

FARVER, Charles D. Age 92, of West Milton, passed away March 9, 2014, at Cypress Pointe Health Campus, Englewood. He was born September 23, 1921, in West Milton, Ohio, to his parents Roy & Grace (Randolph) Farver. He graduated from Milton-Union High School Class of 1939, and on August 12, 1950, he married Ona Lois Bowman. Charlie was inducted into the Army Air Force on July 14, 1942, where he served three and a half years and was discharged from Drew Field, FL, on December 31, 1945, with the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, Charlie returned to employment with General Motors before his retirement on January 1, 1977. He was a member of the Hoffman United Methodist Church. He was an active member of 69 years and past commander of the American Legion Post #487 and was past president of the Circle 8 Square Dance. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lois (Bowman) Farver; brothers and sisters Helen Hoover, Mary Pugh, Irene Spohn, John Farver. He will be missed and remember by many faithful nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Cypress Pointe Health Campus & Hospice of Dayton for their excellent care. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, March 14, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton. Rev. Justin Williams will officiate with interment following at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-12 PM Friday at the funeral home.
