News Death Notice

HOOVER, Charles F. March 27, 1920-April 7, 2013. He served proudly in the 136th field artillery division pacific theater during WW2. Retired from General Motors 1981. Avid fisherman, outdoorsman, orator and an excellent dancer. Devoted husband, and father. His wife, Veda C Hoover preceded him in death October 5, 2000. He is survived by his three children, Carolyn (Joe) Leavitt, Linda (Michael) Sturgeon; devoted son, Gary Hoover; two grandsons, George Hellwig, Eric (Nikki) Leavitt. Blessed with 3 great-grandchildren, Lindsey Hellwig, Nathan, and Christian Leavitt. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton with Pastor Andrew Brewster officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:30 until time of service. Entombment will follow at Royal Oaks Memorial Gardens with Army Military Honors.
