News Death Notice

MOELLER, Donald F. 85, of Bellbrook, passed away Sat. Feb. 8, 2014 at his home. He was born Apr. 3, 1928 in Coldwater to Laura (Tangeman) and Lawrence Moeller. Don served his country with honor in the U.S. Army. Don was a founding and life member of the Milton Athletic Club, member of the American Legion #761 Bellbrook, American Legion #598 Kettering, and the Eagles Lodge #3031 Dayton. He was an avid bowler and he enjoyed fishing, boating and camping. Don was always the first one to offer help and the last one to ask for it. He was retired from Rike's Dept. Store where he worked as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, numerous brothers and sisters, and step-children Michael Treadway and Judy Caplinger. Don is survived by his wife of 52 years Geneva (Barton) Moeller, one daughter Donna Moeller of Bellbrook, two step-sons Larry Treadway (Kassie) of Butler, PA, David Treadway (Kate) of Costa Rica, two step-daughters Carolyn Verret (Cecil) of Denham Springs, LA, Teri Gardella (Bart) of Coronado, CA, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two brothers LaVerne Moeller of Dayton and Edwin Moeller of NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wed. Feb. 12 from 5-7 pm at CONNER & KOCH Funeral Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Funeral services 11:00 am Thursday at Conner & Koch. Mary Ann Stone officiating. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
