Faith Campbell (Kemp) SHOCK


News Death Notice

SHOCK, Faith (Kemp) Campbell age 94 of Englewood, passed away suddenly on August 14, 2014 following a brief illness. She was born on February 13, 1920 to Arthur & Pearl (Miller) Kemp. She lived her entire life in the Madison Township and Trotwood area until 2011 prior to moving to Englewood. In 1939 she married John Paul Campbell. Faith had a strong belief in Jesus since childhood and had been an active member of the First Grace Brethren Church her whole life. She had previously worked at Rike's Department Store, and later as a secretary at the Trotwood Madison High School. She had been active in the Trotwood Garden Club, Trotwood Historical Society, and many activities with other cottage residents at Grace Brethren Village. Having been an only child, she took great joy in her 3 children, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Patricia & Ronald Burnside and their family: Julie (Karma) Tsocheff, Parker Tsocheff, Melissa (Kirk) Fuller, Abigail Fuller, Thomas (Amy) Burnside, Evan, Trevor, Elise Burnside and Beth Burnside, son and daughter-in-law: David and Debbie Campbell and their family; Todd (companion Colleen) Campbell-Carpenter, Liam and Ruby Campbell-Carpenter, Tamar (Chris) Sauer, Logan, Drew and Lydia Sauer, Dena (companion Tony Harrington) Campbell, Zakiya Campbell, son and daughter-in-law Douglas and Andrea Campbell and their family; Jennifer (Dale) Davis, Matthew (Joy) Campbell, Brianna and Jacob Campbell; Zachary (fiancé Casey Wiedemann) Campbell. She was preceded in death by a great grandson: Nicholas Sauer, former husband: John Paul Campbell, and a daughter-in-law: Rev. Deborah Rogers Campbell. She will be missed very much by her family, special friend: Ed Shock, and her many friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Bld., Englewood) with Rev. Stephen Gill officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Interment and graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 18, at the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Grace Brethren Village, the Trotwood Historical Society, or Hospice of Dayton..
