News Death Notice

DOENCH, Jr., Frank Henry age 86, of Englewood, formerly of Vandalia, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Frank was born in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from the University of Cincinnati. He served during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Frank was a retired Mechanical Engineer and former partner with Helmig, Lienesh, Doench and Associates and several other firms later in his career. Frank was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, a past member of the Miami Shelby Melody Men and a past board member of the Friends of Aullwood. He loved music, woodworking, sailing and Skyline Chili. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Andrea (Charles) Jensen of Germantown, sons and daughter- in-law: F. Gregory Doench of CA, Eric (Debra) Doench of Vandalia, grandsons: Matthew Doench (special friend Brandi Ayers), Kevin Doench plus many wonderful relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Gloria (Humbert) Doench, parents: Frank and Theckla (Schmidt) Doench Sr, 1 brother and 2 sisters. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Stephen Gill officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until time of services. Inurnment will be held privately at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery in Englewood.
