News Death Notice

FANNING, Franklin U. 97, passed away after a brief illness on March 3, 2014, and will be reunited with his wife of 70 years, Jane, who died in 2009. He graduated from Purdue University as a mechanical engineer and worked first at Frigidaire and then at AK Steel until his retirement. He was an avid gardener and golfer. He is survived by his three children, Rick Fanning, Nancy Andrews and Jane Sanders, as well as seven grandchildren and eleven great-grand-children. After private funeral arrangements his ashes will be scattered at Twin Valley Cemetery in Preble County.
