News Death Notice

MARX, Sr., Frederick Anthony age 80 of Clayton, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. He retired from Montgomery County as a wastewater supervisor. Fred was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Marian Manor Council. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years: Jane (Schafer) Marx, children and their spouses: Angela and Gary Pilgrim of Englewood, Frederick and Jane Marx Jr. of Dayton, Patricia and Cliff Deitering of Brookville, Thomas Marx of GA, Chris and Pam Marx of Brookville, grandchildren: Natalie, Emily, Blake, Renee, Adrianne, Rachel, Hannah, Louis, Thomas Jr., Andersen, Christopher, Madeline, Schafer, 4 great grandchildren and one on the way, sister: Mary Ann Kinsella of Botkins, brother and sister-in-law: Melvin (Jodie) Marx of Botkins, sister-in-law: Darla Marx of Sidney, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Adrian and Carolyn (George) Marx, brother: John Marx and twin infant daughters: Mary and Martha Marx. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at St. Paul Catholic Church (1000 W. Wenger Road, Englewood) with Fr. James Seibert, C.P.P.S. as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) where prayers will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, prior to Mass. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
