News Death Notice

CRASE, Georgia Lee of Germantown, OH ~ Mom passed away at the young age of 93 on May 11, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harry and Doyle Pridemore, and her loving husband of fifty-seven years, William Edward Crase. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David Meadows; her devoted grandchildren, Brad and Margaret Meadows and Pamela and Karl Brummund; two wonderful grandsons, Nathan and David Brummund; a sister, Sylvia England; and many nieces and nephews. Never one to covet the spotlight, Mom chose a path that led her to become a wife, mother, grandma, and extraordinary community volunteer. She was named Volunteer of the Year at Sycamore Glen Retirement Village in 2006. She excelled in everything, from painting and drawing to quilting, cooking, baking and gardening. She retired from Monsanto Mound in Miamisburg in 1982 after twenty-five years. Her kind touch, her genuine nature, her understanding manner and the care and love she so generously shared with everyone she knew is the foundation of her legacy. Mom will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered every day. Though we mourn her death, we rejoice in her memory and we are thankful for her beautiful spirit and zest for living and serving others that she taught us to embrace.
