BIRDSEYE, Gerald C. "Gerry" age 86, of Dayton, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was retired from WPAFB with over 20 years of service, graduate of Split Rock High School class of 1945, an Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII
serving from 1945-1947, graduate of Powelson Business School, an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Yankees, Reds, Cowboys & Bengals. Gerry also played baseball with the NY Yankees farm team in his early years. Gerry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dawn; daughter, Zoe Devoe and fiancé Steve Kraff of Miamisburg; son & daughter-in-law, Kimball & Sandy Birdseye of Centerville; grandchildren, Marcus & wife Genya Devoe and Brant & wife Denise Birdseye; great grandchildren, Keagan & Braelen Devoe and Cooper Birdseye. Gerry requested his body to be donated to WSU to further medical science. Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike.
