News Death Notice

ELLIOTT, Harold L. "Si" age 92 of Troy, Ohio passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital after a brief illness. Born December 5, 1921 on the family farm where he lived his entire life. Si was a farmer and a member of the Nashville United Church of Christ. He served 44 years on the Miami County Fair Board. He also served on the Miami County Soil Conservation Service, 4 H Club, Monroe Grange, Ohio Farm Bureau, Elm Valley Fishing Club, and the Troy Elks Lodge. Preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Ann (Bimm) Elliott in 2000; parents Fred and Myna (Stockslager) Elliott; his son Phillip "Flip" Elliott; and daughter Barbara Rose; and one brother Glenn Elliott. Surviving are his son Charles Elliott and daughter Susan Malott, both of Troy. Son-in-law David Rose, Covington, OH. Sister Leone Miller, Troy. Seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday December 17, 2013 at the Nashville United Church of Christ. Pastor Lynn Labs officiating with burial in Wheelock Cemetery, Nashville, Ohio. Visitation 5 - 8 pm Tuesday at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W Main St, Tipp City, OH 45371. Also, one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.
