BROWNING, Mr. Harry Claude age 92, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013. A native of Arkansas and a resident of Dayton for over 60 years. A World War II veteran of the United States Army and a retired employee of Frigidaire, a division of General Motors, after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 1 brother and loving wife of 48 years, Arvella. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his daughter, Eva Browning; son, Rufus Knox; 6 grandchildren, Mona Lisa, Lamar (Diederre), Kiesha, DeJuan (Kia), Dimitri Sr. & Ashley; 14 great grandchildren; 1 brother, James Browning; special friend, Harold Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Wayman A.M.E. Church, 3317 Hoover Avenue. Rev. Dr. Faye Taylor officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 9 am Wednesday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N.
