Henry (Hank) WAGNER


News Death Notice

WAGNER, Henry "Hank" went home to be with The Lord and his beloved wife Suzanne on St. Patricks Day, Sunday, March 17, 2013. Hank was born on July 8, 1918 in Baltimore Maryland. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He is survived by his Sons H. Charles Wagner and wife Kelly of Kettering Ohio; Bruce Canny Wagner and wife Mary Ann of Phoenix Arizona; John Hughes Wagner of Kettering, Ohio; and daughter Mary Louise McCormick and husband Charles of Cincinnati, Ohio. Hank has nine grandchildren. Allison Nicole Goeke (husband Greg);Scott Charles Wagner; Lindsey Anne Elliott (husband David); Charles Brian Wagner; Ryan Wagner; Caroline Wagner and Andrew J. Wagner; Jason Gillum and Samantha Gillum; four great grandchildren Preston Gillum; Kendall Goeke; Trent Goeke; Tyler Elliott; also by a sister Betty and husband Dr. Charles Wright of Frederick Maryland. Henry graduated from Johns Hopkins University. He joined the United States Army after the commencement of World War II and served as a Lieutenant until 1945. He joined the accounting firm of Arnold, Hawk and Cutbertson in 1946. In 1963 he joined the national firm of Deloitte Touche.After retiring in 1981, he became the treasurer of Tool Craft products until he really retired at the age of 85. Hank was appointed to the Accountancy Board of Ohio and served for eight years. He was a member of the internal auditors; member of the Ohio Society of CPA's; and a member of the American Institute of CPA's. He was a member of the Dayton Bicycle Club, Dayton County Club and was an Emeritus of the Thirty Niners. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2011 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45429. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Hanks Memory to the Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Association, Miami Valley Chapter Dayton Ohio.
