James B. PAXTON


News Death Notice

PAXTON, James B. 71, of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday December 30, 2012 in Grandview Hospital. He was born November 18, 1941 in Richmond, Indiana, the son of Donald and Claribel (Batscher) Paxton. He retired from the Dayton Police Department after twenty-seven years and was currently working for Gemini Eye Care in Huber Heights. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Jim coached girls soccer for Tecumseh High School and the Warrior Soccer Club. He was a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He is survived by Linda Paxton; two daughters, Tracy Paxton and Mia (Kristopher) Klosterman; two sons, Greg (Minta) Paxton and Cory (Stacey) Paxton; sister, Cheryl Hecker; two brothers, Fred and Steve Paxton; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Gabriella, Meagan, Mackenzie, Dane, Brady and Noah; three great-grandchildren, Heidi, Madeline and Landin. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Paxton and brother Jan Paxton. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. Saturday January 5, 2013 in the MARKER - HELLER FUNERAL HOME, Huber Heights Chapel, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Craig Grammer officiating.
