News Death Notice

KOS, John Paul age 97 of Englewood, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He worked for more than 25 years with Ledex in micro electronics and later retired from Gem City Engineering. John was a longtime member of the Salem Church of God and a member of the Wood Workers Guild. He was an avid golfer and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Judith (Robert) Ponkey of AZ, Marilou (Werner) Schnabel of GA, Betty (Phillip) Kettering of Englewood, Patti (Roy) Huffer of Camden, sister: Marie Whitmore of FL, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and baby Scarlett on the way, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years: Olive Gertrude (Walker) Kos, parents: John Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Muzetic) Kos and sister: Betty Hammock. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) with Pastor Bob Moss officiating. Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
