Joyce Marie (MiMi) HENSLEY


News Death Notice

HENSLEY, Joyce Marie "MiMi" Gastonia, North Carolina - 84 ended her earthly journey on April 2, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Born in Dayton, Ohio she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Wogoman Stuck. She and her husband the Rev. William E. Hensley, enjoyed 63 years as a ministerial family serving churches in Ohio in both United Methodist and United Church of Christ denominations. After working at Coca Cola of Dayton and retiring from Wright -Patterson in 1989 they moved to North Carolina, where she devoted herself to family life support. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Teresa Hamblin (Steve), of Danville, KY, Holly Denning (Thomas), of Superior, Colo., brother Kenneth Stuck (Elaine), of Miamisburg, Ohio, grandchildren Amber Evans of Danville, Kentucky, Josh Evans (Faith) of San Diego, California, Tyler Denning of Texas, Colton Denning of Colorado, great grandchildren, Christian Evans and Mason Evans, as well as many nephews and nieces. Much cherished extended family members include Dr. Sam Ison of Lebanon Ohio, the survivors of the Dan Rhyne family, Connie, Blake and Madison of Gastonia NC, as well as Betty Hicks and Lynn Evans of Gastonia. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1:30 for a Celebration of Life Service at Concord United Methodist Church, Englewood Ohio.
