Julia Fisher GARRETSON

News Death Notice

GARRETSON, Julia Fisher age 81 of Kettering, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012. She was born in Dayton, OH on April 30, 1931 to Richard and Lillian (Haswell) Fisher. Julia attended Oakwood High School and graduated from Masters School at Dobb's Ferry in New York in 1950. She also attended Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC. Julia was a past member of Christ Episcopal Church and the Southside Club of Dayton. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack S. Garretson and her sister, Elizabeth F. Bruce. Julia is survived by her daughters, Annie G. (Russell) Milliron and Lilli G. (Philip) Lingle; grandchildren, Garretson C. Lingle and Logan D. Lingle; cousin, Anthony Haswell and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2:00pm at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave, Dayton, OH. The family would like to thank the staff of Oak Creek Terrace for their love and compassionate care of Julia.
