News Death Notice

KLOSTERMAN, Leonard J. age 75, of Washington Township, passed away suddenly on June 7, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida while visiting family. Leonard was born July 19, 1938 to the late Leonard J. & Anna Kramer Klosterman. He married Juanita Beumer on November 9, 1963 at St. Peter Church in St. Peter, Ohio. Leonard graduated from Coldwater High School in Coldwater, Ohio. He served four years in the United States Air Force and retired from the Paxar Corporation after 30 years of service. Leonard enjoyed traveling, volunteering at the Victoria Theater, and especially playing with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all of his friends. Leonard is survived by his wife: Juanita (Beumer) Klosterman; daughter: Teresa (Jerry) Hulshult and their children: Bailey & Abby of Jacksonville, FL; son: Dr. David J. (Cindy) Klosterman and their children: Elena & Taran of Springboro; siblings: Roger (Alice) Klosterman, Janet (Dennis) Bonifas, Melvin (Rosemary) Klosterman; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Doris Klosterman, Rosalia (Leroy) Larger, Sister Marita Beumer, C.P.P.S, Irene (Fred) rose, Ruth (Ralph) Pleiman, Rita (Carl) Pleiman, Jean Beumer & Linda Beumer. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Lonnie in 1989; siblings: Virgil Klosterman & Lavaun (Frank) Schwartz; and Arnold, Alvin, & Richard Beumer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Miamisburg. Interment will follow Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M AND Monday from 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Donate Life Ohio, envelopes will be provided.
