News Death Notice

STEPHENS, Louis M. 92, of Englewood, died at early Sunday morning, March 31, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Stephens was born in Palestine, Ohio on January 10, 1921, the son of the late Thurl and Blanche (Manuel) Stephens. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, Englewood. Louie was a veteran of the Army Air Corp WW II, where he was a B 24 Pilot, and a German POW, receiving a Purple Heart. He was a member of the 8th Air Force Memorial Association. Mr. Stephens was a retired employee of DESC at Wright Patterson working in Information technology and Logistics. He was preceded in death by his son R. Terry Stephens, Sister Kathryn Jane Mote, half brother Charles Stephens, half sister Cordelia Stephens. Louie is survived by his wife Deloris (Kress) Stephens whom he married November 28, 1946; son Larry L. (Linda) Stephens of Grosse Point, MI., Grandchildren, R. Matthew (Erma) Stephens, Theodore L. (Anne) Stephens, Ryan Louis Stephens; great grandchildren Jacob W. Stephens, Sydney Marie Stephens, and Jacqueline Stephens, sister Margaret A. Ferguson of Dayton; and half brother Fred (Carol) Stephens of Sidney. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, April 5th, at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Rev John Wiltshire officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg.
