News Death Notice

FRIEDBERG, Mardelle age 90, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her residence. Mardelle was a member of the Beth Abraham Synagogue and Hadassah, a graduate of East High School in Columbus and attended The Ohio State University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" ; brothers, David & Sam Levin, sisters-in-law, Barbara & Leah Levin; Jerry's family, Rebecca (Harry) Kruger, Gertrude Friedberg, Dorothy (Samuel) Segelin, and Belle (Leon) Simon. Mardelle is survived by her sons, Stephen of Dayton, Gary of Pittsburgh, PA, & Howard of Dayton; brothers, Louis Levin and Allen Levin both of Washington Twp.; grandchildren, Michael, Christina & Carolyn Friedberg, Lauren, Lisa & David Michaels; great granddaughter, Samantha Friedberg; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Beth Abraham Cemetery Chapel, 1817 West Schantz Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45409 with Rabbi Bernard Barsky and Cantor Andrea Raizen officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the funeral service at Beth Abraham Synagogue, 305 Sugar Camp Circle, Dayton, Ohio 45419 and from 6-8:30 PM Wednesday at the Levin Family Foundation, 7812 McEwen Road, Suite 100, Dayton, Ohio 45459. If desired memorial contributions may be made to Beth Abraham Synagogue, or The Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420 in Mardelle's memory. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marker & Heller Funeral Home, North Main Street Chapel.
