News Death Notice

McCULLOUGH, Marsha Ann age 66, of Dayton, OH, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2014. She was born on Saturday, January 18, 1947, in Muncie, IN. At the age of ten years old, she and her family moved to Dayton, OH, where she attended Roosevelt High School. Marsha graduated from Miami Jacobs College, where she studied Computer Technology. She also graduated from the International Broadcasting School earning her Broadcaster's License. She worked in human services for several years, and was employed by Dayton Public Schools, the Building Bridges Program for Juvenile Courts, Dayton Urban League, and the Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program (UMADAOP). She was the founder of MS Enterprises; a computer training program for adults. She was a member of Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church. Marsha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Bessie and Robert Cook and her mother, Cleida Pierce. She leaves to cherish her memories; her husband, Roy McCullough; daughter, Kizette Melvin; son, Syril D. Melvin III (Loresa Monique); a twin sister; Pastor Marilyn K. Gross; (5) grandsons, Syril D. Melvin IV, James Valentine Jr., Shamar Melvin, Jordan Sharp and Senai Melvin; a host of church family members and dear friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held 10:00 A.M., FRIDAY, January 17, 2014 at BETHESDA TEMPLE APOSTOLIC CHURCH, 3701 Salem Ave. Dr. Craig S. High, Senior Pastor, Eulogist, Evangelist Teresa Reed, Officiant. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment: Dayton National Cemetery.
