Mary (Dunlap) LORENZ


News Death Notice

LORENZ, Mary (Dunlap) Age 96, passed away April 19, 2013 at The Suites of Walnut Creek. She was born October 6, 1916 in Columbus, Ohio and attended high school in Washington DC where she grew up. She graduated from Ohio State University and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity. Mary was preceded in death by Carl J. Smith, her first husband and Edmund B. Lorenz, her second husband. She is survived by her three children, Peter (Judy) Smith of Fredericksburg, VA; Anne (Doug) Almoney of Dayton, OH; and T. D. Smith (Page) of Telluride, CO. She has six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two step-sons, Steven (Marilyn) Lorenz of Nashville, TN and Geoffrey (Niel) Lorenz of Dayton, OH and five step-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Walnut Creek for their care and support. The family also thanks Rosie Davis, Fran Billington, and Tammy Connelly for their love, friendship and care of our mother, and thank you to Destiny Hospice, who cared for her in her final days.
