News Death Notice

MORAN, Sr. Matthew M. age 55, of Riverside, OH passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 10, 2014. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stefanie L. Moran in 1989, his sister, Renee Quinn, and two brothers-in-law, Dennis Hilgeford and David Muse. Matt was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and will always hold a special place in the heart of his beloved wife of 31 years, Denise A. (Hilgeford) Moran; his daughter, Dannah and husband, Ernie Vardaman; his son, Matthew M. Moran, Jr.; his parents, Elmer and Mary Lou (Cline) Moran; sisters, Sharon Muse, Lisa (Bob) Prichard, Julie (Jim) Norman; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Madonna and Don Hilgeford; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dina (Dan) Byrnes, Darla (Mike) Donohue, Devon Madsen, Drew (Mindy) Hilgeford. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear and lifelong friends. Matthew was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and was employed by G.E. Aviation. An avid car and music enthusiast, Matt was a member of the Good Guys Car Club and loved to surround himself with family and good friends and always enjoyed himself at family gatherings and get together with his many lifelong friends. Among his other interests was praying the Rosary and machining, both of which he loved with a passion. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. from St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Road with Father David Brinkmoeller, celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014.
