News Death Notice

WILLIAMS, Max M. age 66 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Viviana Williams in 2006. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Williams, his parents, Max and Ouida (Bell) Williams and two brothers: Jerry and Pat Williams. He is survived by his wife of four years, Teresa Williams and his children: sons, Chad and Jimmy Straley and daughters: Wendy Littleton, Heather Koss and Amber Williams. He is survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren as well as three brothers: Don, Paul and Joe Williams. Max was awarded the Order of the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat during the Vietnam War as well as the Bronze Star Medal. Upon his homecoming from the war, Max returned to Genuine Auto Parts to work and provided 49 years of service. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall on Sunday, January 24 from 5-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 25 at 11:30 AM with Reverend Brooks Heck officiating. Interment will be in Willowview Cemetery.
