News Death Notice

DOGGETT, Neal R. 91, of Lebanon, died Monday January 13, 2014. Born November 18, 1922 in Xenia, OH to Perry and Emily V. (nee: Ray) Doggett, he was a proud US Army veteran from January 1943 to December 1945 receiving five bronze stars. He was a 1941 graduate of Lewisburg High School. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, he spent his career as a manufacturing engineer for several companies including, Frigidaire and Harrison Radiator from whom he retired. After retiring, Neal spent another six years as a private consultant. A member of the T.O.M. Club, he enjoyed volunteering at Otterbein Lebanon, serving his community at the Shaker Cellar and in the Bell Choir. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul and Julian, he is survived by his wife of 68 years, Phyllis (nee: Limbert) Doggett of Lebanon, one son, Brian (Debbie) Doggett of Lafayette, IN, one daughter, Becky (Ron) Hoblit of Leesburg, FL, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation, Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 1:30-2:30 PM at the Otterbein Lebanon Chapel with a service immediately following at 2:30 PM. Interment will take place on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11AM in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH. Memorials requested to the Otterbein Lebanon Benevolent Care Fund.
