News Death Notice

SCHOENING, Norbert E. age 82 of Phillipsburg died Friday February 22, 2013. Born in Dayton, OH to Martin and Helen (Kaehler) Schoenung. Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1953. He was a Toolmaker by trade, employed with Diamond Tool & Die 17 yrs and retiring from GM Delco Division after 16 yrs of employment. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 yrs, Naomi (Warren) Schoening; Daughter Karen (Phil) Bagnard of Englewood, Sons Douglas Schoening of Englewood, and Steven (Jim) Schoening of Dayton. Six grandchildren, Cherie (Jason) McCain, Ryan Bagnard, Jordan Schoening, Kayleigh Schoening, Ian Schoening and Summer Schoening. Five great - grandchildren. Sisters Martha Shadoan of Centerville and Suzanne Schoening of Amarillo, TX. Brother Donald Schoenung of Kettering. Sister -in-law Phyllis Frank, Brothers -in-law Ralph (Doris) Warren, Boyce (Wanda) Warren and Malcolm (Nedra) Warren. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister, Barbara Schoenung, Son Michael E. Schoening and Brother-in-law George (Jeanne) Warren. At Norbert's request his body was donated to Wright State School of Medicine through the Anatomical Gift program. There will be no visitation. A memorial Mass, a celebration of his life will be held on Friday March 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM, Transfiguration Catholic Church, 972 S. Main St. West Milton, OH, Father Bill Thomas officiating.
