COTTON, Oscar Leland age 82, of Carlisle, Ohio, died Sunday November 10, 2013 at his residence. Oscar was born in Corbin, Kentucky on January 24, 1931 to Roy and Flora (Rogers) Cotton. Oscar served for 27 years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force during the Korean War receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star and was a member of the Franklin Eagles #2309. While serving in the Air Force he was a key member of support for the SR-71 Blackbird. Oscar was employed with General Motors Inland Division for 16 years and retired in 1989 . He was preceded in death by his Father, Roy Cotton, Mother, Flora Cotton, his wife Rella Cotton, and 9 brothers and sisters. Oscar is survived by his 2 Sisters - Mimalene Karr, Betty Walters; 2 Sons - Bruce (Cathy) Cotton, Shannon (Shauna) Cotton; 3 Daughters - Lynn Cotton, Sherry (Jerry) Miller, Sondra (Kenny) Greene; 7 Grandsons - James, Jesse, Cody, Josh, Brandon, Clayton, Lance; 8 Granddaughters - Christy, Carmen, Kendra, Makayla, Madison, Makenzie, Malaeh, Heather; great granddaughter - Monroe; . Funeral services are 1:00 pm Friday November 15, 2013 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating.
