News Death Notice

STEBEL, Raymond F. 84, of Dayton, passed away Thursday January 30, 2014 at New Lebanon Care & Rehab. He was born May 12, 1929 in Dayton to Mary (Mohr) and Walter J. Stebel, Sr. Ray served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He retired from Diamond International where he worked as the Plant Manager and also retired from Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools where he worked as a custodian. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Geneva (2003), and brother Walter Stebel, Jr. Ray is survived by two sons Jeffrey and Paul (Marie), all of Dayton, five grandchildren Eva, Cecelia, Miriam, Lydia and Elijah, two sisters Rita Grote (Bob) of West Carrollton and Mary Margaret Scott of Kettering. The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm Tuesday February 4 at CONNER & KOCH FUNERAL HOME, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook (937-848-6651). Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 8069 Washington Village Dr., Dayton, Ohio 45458.
