News Death Notice

SCHULTZ, Rita Frances (Burger) age 88, of Dayton passed away, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Sterling House of Washington Township. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul G. Schultz; baby Schultz and son, Timothy Lee Schultz; her parents, Peter and Mary (Mehringer) Burger. Rita is survived by her son, David Schultz of GA and two daughters, Karen Olwine and husband Stanley of Miami Township, and Barbara Basu and husband, Dipankar of Washington Township; six grandchildren: Matthew, and Alex Olwine, Mandy (Rob) Sarasua, Ashley (Jake) Miller and Neela and Tara Basu; one great granddaughter, Abigail Sarasua. Rita was born and raised in Jasper, IN and moved to Dayton when she was 17 to begin to work at The Field (WPAFB) during the war. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Free Spirits and The Rosary Altar Society. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Friday, April 19, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 5 - 7:30 pm Thursday at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave. Prayers 10 am Friday at the funeral home.
