AGNEW, Robert L. Age 81, of Beavercreek passed away December 12, 2005. He was preceded in death by a sister Patty, and infant son, James Michael. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Betty, 1 daughter and son-in-law Sheryl & Doug Graves of West Chester, 3 sons and daughters-in-law Jeff & Laurie Agnew of Beavercreek, Tom & Debbie Agnew of Waynesville, and John & Christine Agnew of Bellbrook, and 1 brother, Mike Agnew of Carmel, Indiana. Bob has 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Bob was born to Alene and Oliver Agnew in Elgin, Illinois and grew up in Lafayette, Indiana where he graduated from Jefferson High School. He served as a B-24 bomber pilot in WWII where he flew 18 combat missions over Borneo, China, Formosa and Japan. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the Philippine Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the American Theater Ribbon. He graduated from Purdue University in 1949 where he played basketball and football and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Bob married Betty and moved to Dayton where he worked for 15 years at WPAFB. He retired from Sanders Associates/Lockheed in 1991 after 24 years as the Midwest Regional Marketing Representative. Bob was a longtime member and Past President of the Association of Old Crows. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Prayer service 2:30 PM Saturday, December 17, 2005 followed by visitation from 3-5 PM Saturday at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton- Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd.
