News Death Notice

STOKESBURY, Robert J. age 86, of Riverside, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on August 5, 1926, the son of Lawrence and Winifred Stokesbury, who preceded him in death. Robert was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna J. Stokesbury, in October of 2009. He is survived by his 3 children, Connie Stokesbury, of Dayton, Nancy Stokesbury, of Dayton, Bruce and wife, Lisa Stokesbury, of Riverside; 4 grandchildren, Shawn Hamilton, Brad and Emily Stokesbury, Nikki Williams and 2 great grandchildren, Trey'von and J.J.. Robert retired after 45 years of service from N.C.R. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and the Stiver's High School Alumni Association. Bob was also an avid University of Dayton, Ohio State University and Cincinnati Reds fan. Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m.from St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Road with Father David Brinkmoeller, celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013.
