News Death Notice

SLIVINSKI, Steve C. age 62 of Riverside, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. He was born September 24, 1950 to the late Casmir and Mary (Helfinstine) Slivinski. In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his brothers, John, Peter, Ralph Slivinski; sisters, Francis Bradley and Joann Cramer. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lori Slivinski; daughters, Melanie, Carrie and Jamie Slivinski; 9 grandchildren; brother, Willard (Tammy) Slivinski; sisters, Barbara (Tom) Mansperger and Mary (John Paul) Blevins; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Steve served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3283 Huber Heights. He retired from the Mad River Local Board of Education after 30 years of service. Steve was an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an active member of the North Dayton Anglers Club. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, 45424. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
