OWENS, Walter Scott passed away Friday, March 21, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Shirley (Robbins) Owens; mother of his girls, Della Bolin; his daughters, Kim Hurst (Daryl), Renee Ramezankhani (Reza), Shawn Owens-Hayes, all of Lexington, KY, and Tonya Hetzel (Mark) of Atlanta; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Owens and sisters, Avonell Allison & Emogene Middleton. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Owens and sisters, Ethel Ratliff, Florence Davis, Winifred Helton, Myrtle Arms and Eva Owens. Scott was born June 1, 1935, son of Walter Owens & Patsy (Johnson) Owens, in Floyd County, KY. He worked as an electrical contractor for 40 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lexington, KY. He will be missed by all his loved ones, including his four-legged Taylor. Services will be held Wednesday, March 26, at MORRIS SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1771 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering. Visitation 1-3 pm followed by a memorial service at 3 pm with Rev. Curtis Johnson officiating.
