WILLIAMS, Wayne E. 50, of Franklin, passed away Sunday Sept. 29, 2013 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Portsmouth on Dec. 11, 1962, to Leo and Faye (Mingus) Williams and graduated from Springboro. Wayne worked for Production Control Units in Moraine for over 25 years and worked with good friend Dean Blake, owner of Quest Engineering. Wayne had a brilliant mind and could build most any type of machinery and equipment. He was preceded in death by his father (Leo), grandparents and cousin Randy Logan. Wayne was a member of many politically affiliated groups. He was a proud American, concerned about the state of our country and the effects it may have on his family and friends. Wayne loved all things related to automobiles and motorcycles and spent his free time rebuilding and restoring them. He was quite the outdoorsman and enjoyed many activities including camping and hiking. Wayne had a kind heart, especially toward animals and stray cats. He rescued all three of his "children" and is sadly missed by Mama Cat, Sami and Rocky. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly (Macy) Williams, whom he married Oct. 26, 1996; beloved mother Faye (Mingus) Williams; loving sister and brother-in-law, Samantha and Rick Creager who supported and was there for him through his illness; sister Tonna (Ray) Gross; brothers Vaughn (Pat) Blankenship, Larry (Cathy) Blankenship; nieces Marie (Darrin) Adams, Debi (Jerry) Ellenburg; nephews Will (Sabrina) Walters, Jason (Stephanie) Blankenship, Pete (Staci) Blankenship; ten great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his family, special friends and co-workers. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Anderson Life Celebration Center, 360 Commerce Center Drive, Franklin. Memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Joe Murinach officiating at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd Street, Franklin.
