News Death Notice

HOCKADAY, William C. age 67, of Delaware, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 as a result of a tractor accident in Bainbridge, OH. He was born August 11, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio the son of William G. and Marie A. (Silch) Hockaday. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law: James Jones. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Jones Hockaday, whom he married May 7, 1977; two sons and daughters-in-law: William H. and Mary of Robinson, TX and James and Laura of Ashtabula, OH; grandchildren: Christian, Abigail and Hobson; mother-in- law: Betty Jones; longtime family friends: Dennis and Jan Grose. Bill was retired from Draper and Kramer, where he worked in commercial real estate management. He graduated from Belmont High School and the Ohio State University. Bill especially loved spending his weekends with his family at the farm, which gave him an opportunity to enjoy his many passions: hunting, fishing, antique cars and tractors and being outdoors. A service to celebrate his life will be held 12 Noon Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
