News Death Notice
HURWOOD, Evelyn Elizabeth (Dolly) Age 88, of Brookville, passed away Feb. 13, 2015. She was born June 10, 1926 in Philadelphia. Dolly was active as a greeter and childrens Sunday school teacher in the churches she attended and will be remembered as a positive, outgoing person whose smile was as bright as her countenance. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret Stinson and brother Robert, of Philadelphia. She is survived by her husband Gene Hurwood; son, Robert Hurwood, son-in-law and daughter Rob and Joy Marino and grandchildren Victoria, Evan, Andrew and Kara Marino. Visitation 9:30-10:30am, Wed., Feb. 18 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Funeral service 10:30 Wed. at the funeral home. Donations may be sent to Hospice of Dayton. Gene we know you will not remember us but we attended CT in Dayton when Boyer was the la.st preacher we knew there. We always thought a lot of you and Dolly. We were in your Sunday school class when Pastor Gardner was there. I know you will miss Dolly but she is dancing in heaven for sure. You were probably our first relation with a Christian Jew.
In Christ love Lowell and Carolyn Jess we lived in Pleasant Hill at the time and I baked Pastor Boyer a popcorn cake for his birthday and he got mad.
