Ronald FILBRUN Obituary
News Death Notice
FILBRUN, Ronald Joseph age 76 of Clayton, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at his residence. He was the owner/president of F & M Contractor/Ideal Company for more than 50 years. Ron was a member of the Salem Old German Baptist Brethren Church, New Conference. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Janice (Boone) Filbrun, children and their spouses: Kristen and Fred Sink of Ludlow Falls, Kent and Jane Filbrun of Brookville, Kevin and Lora Filbrun of West Milton, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister: Bonnie Shoup of New Carlisle, brother and sister-in-law: Bruce and Ann Filbrun of CA, step-sisters: Bonnie Bauman, Betty (Philip) King, Barbara (Gordon) Grover all of CA, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Treva (Bowser) Filbrun and brother-in-law: Norman Shoup. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Salem Old German Baptist Brethren Church (Corner of Barnes & Sweet Potato Ridge Road, Clayton) with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood). I was saddened to hear the news about Ron. We will miss his smile and kindness extended to all. And his generosity of opening his home to us in the Keys. I'll remember the large gatherings at his Ohio home when we were kids! Always a great memory! Our prayers are with Jan and family.

Mr. Ron clearly demonstrated the value of character, honesty, and integrity. He was a true and uncompromising man of virtue. He inspired us all to continue to holdfast the values he lived.
