News Death Notice

STROETZ (nee Follick), Margaret Ann Passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at Kettering Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Elwood Follick. Peggy was born in Dayton and graduated from Julienne High School and the University of Dayton. She began her teaching career as a substitute teacher at St. Rita's Elementary School and then taught English at Carroll High School for many years. Peggy enjoyed her home and yard, her plants and flowers, and numerous pets over the course of her life. She was an avid reader and loved immersing herself in her vast and varied collection of books. She was passionate about sharing with students the wonders of literature and developing critical readers and creative writers. She was a loyal friend to many and a devoted caregiver of her parents and elderly aunt. She was an ever faithful U.D. Flyer fan. She is survived by sister Joan Follick and brother John Follick, both residents of Florida, numerous cousins, friends and colleagues and a generation of students. Visitation on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian burial at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, Ohio.
