News Death Notice
HOLLAND, Rev. Allen age 60, of Dayton, departed this life on Friday, June 22, 2012. He was born to Allen Sr. and Mary Holland on July 31, 1951 in Birmingham, AL. He was called to the ministry in 1997 and was an Associate Minister at Valley Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Allen was a pastor at God's Vision in 2007. God lead him from there to Church on the Rock to become Pastor. At the present time, he served as Assistant Pastor at Gateway. Allen also conducted services at Mary Scott and was also involved in the Life Enrichment Center. He is preceded in death by his father, Allen W. Holland, Sr. He leaves to mourn; his loving wife, Augustina "Tina" Barron Holland; mother, Mary Holland; his children, Rosa, Neisha, Allen Jr., III (Shay) and Geno Holland, Dwana (Eric) Woullard and Diana (Willie) Lawhorn; brothers, David, Brando, Vance, Tony and Scottie; sisters, Gloria Jean, Mildred, Gwen and Marchelle Holland; (6) grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including his church families and special friends Elder Larry Ragans and Reuben Payne. Funeral services 1:00 P.M., FRIDAY, June 29, 2012 at NEW BETHANEY FOR CHRIST, 12 Strader Ave., Trotwood, OH; Pastor Larry Q. Ragans (Church on the Rock), Eulogist, with Pastor Charles Simmons, officiating. Viewing will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday; the family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
