GRIDLEY, Betty Alice (Bell) Age 90, of Brookville, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Sunday, March 3, 2013. She was born July 4, 1922 in Union City, IN. She moved to Dayton where she met and married the love of her life, Walter Hoffman "Bud" Gridley who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, James Ivan Bell & Verla (Reigle) Bell; step-mother, Wanetta Bell; brothers, Robert Bell & James R. Bell; sisters, Maxine Ayers & Pamela Anderson. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother & homemaker. Her hobbies included reading, baking and quilting, at all of which she was very talented. She was awarded many blue ribbons at county fairs. She retired from GM in 1982 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Brookville First United Methodist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory a son & daughter-in-law, Michael Craig & Barbara Gridley, Arlington, MA; daughter & son-in-law, Karen Sue Morrison-Hudson & Tolbert Hudson; grandchildren, Melissa, Brad, Kristen, Brian & Karson; sister-in-law, Jean Bell and numerous nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Fri. March 8 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, where funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Sat. March 9.
