News Death Notice
RICE, Clarence E., "Clancy", "C.R." age 70 of New Carlisle, died suddenly on Saturday, May 12, 2012. He was currently employed at the Schuster Center as an Assistant House Carpenter. He also worked at Sound Force. Clarence enjoyed restoring old classic cars. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence "Pappy" and Aggie Rice, grandma Maggie Stone and great grandson Gavin D. Rice. Survived by his wife of 27 years Beverly (Kain) Rice, parents-in-law Larry and Mary Greene of Dayton, 3 daughters Patti (Rice) Brown of FL, Penny M. (Rice) Newman of FL and Ashley B. Rice and special granddaughter Olivia of N. Carlisle, son Lawrence "Willie" Rice of N. Carlisle, 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, sister Betty (Larry) Graves of Phoenix, AZ, brother Kenneth (Tina) Rice of Huber Heights, special friends Jose and Christina Hernandez and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Dayton.
