CHILDS, Sr., Mr. Clayton age 88, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at his residence. Born in Frankfort, Kentucky and a resident of Dayton for the majority of his life. A veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the West Dayton Club. He was a member of Bethsaida Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Susie Childs; wife, Vivian Childs; sons, Clayton Jr. and Ricky Childs; 9 brothers & sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Todd Childs; stepson, Rico (Shelly) Tolliver; stepdaughter, Marva Tolliver; brother, Thurman Childs; sister, Helen Jackson; lifelong friend, Carolyn Tolliver; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Pastor Jesse J. Watson officiating. Interment Greencastle Cemetery.
