News Death Notice
ELDER, Daniel C. "Dan The Man" beloved husband of Julie M. Elder (nee Schenking) for 26 years, loving father of Sarah, Benjamin, and Victoria Elder, son of Joan and the late William Elder, brother of Jeff (Liz) Elder, Mary Haskins, Rick (Maribeth) Elder & Robb (Janet) Elder, loved by his dogs Toby & PeeWee, also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Dan was a thrill seeker. He lived his life to its fullest and taught everyone the same. He never met a stranger. Died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at his home in Hurricane, WV, with his family at the age of 51 years. Visitation at Rebold, Rosenacker & Sexton Funeral Home, 3700 Glenmore Avenue (Cheviot) Friday 5 - 9 PM and Saturday 10 - 11 AM followed by prayers and family reflections at St. Joseph Old Cemetery at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the Elder family suggests memorials be made to either the Elder Family Education Fund, c/o any Fifth Third Bank or Caringbridge.org\danelder.
