News Death Notice
BLOSSER, Dean Donovan Born December 19, 1969, died while visiting his parents in Mexico Beach, FL on January 2, 2013, at 43 years of age. The cause of death is undetermined at this time. Dean graduated from Dixie High School in 1988 and went on to join the Marine Corps . He fought in Desert Storm and earned the Kuwait Freedom Metal, and after the military he went to work for Dayton Power and Light Co. as a power lineman for 15 years. Dean was a member of New Lebanon American Legion Post 762 after the war, until the present time. He was a member of New Lebanon Brethren Church where he was baptized. He loved to bow hunt deer and fish. Dean also entertained himself playing the guitar and spending time with his daughter, Marah, whom he loved with all his heart. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jerry and Edythe Blosser and Paul and Juanita Wilson; his uncles: Marc Smith and Dave Hoop; and his cousin: Bradley Levin. Dean is survived by his parents: Jerry G. and Roberta J. Blosser, of Mexico Beach, FL; his daughter: Marah D. Blosser of Englewood, OH; his sister and brother- in-law: Jennifer and Travis Bailey; his nephews: Alex Lovely and Patrick Bailey; and his niece: Sydney Bailey of Melbourne, FL; his aunts and uncles: Krista Smith of Jacksonville, FL, and Jill Hoop, Lee and Bonnie Powell, and Charles and Paula Levine, all of New Lebanon, OH; his cousins: Angela and Kris Celella of Apopka, FL, Kimberly and Bill Brinkley of Jackson, MS, Rodney and Lana Powell, Jason and Tonya Powell, and Nick Powell all of New Lebanon, OH, Lori and Josh Schmidt of Eaton, OH, Tara Hutchinson of Columbus, OH, Lance and Amber Hoop of Vandalia, OH, Scott and Shannon Beach, Jamie Jamie Beach, Carrie and Derrick Clouse all of New Lebanon, OH. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1st, 2013 at the New Lebanon Brethren Church, 32 S. Church St. New Lebanon, OH. Memorialization is by cremation. Those wishing to extend a word of condolence may do so at email@example.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dean's memory, to the Brethren Church's Memorial Fund. Burial will be immediately after the service at the Dayton National Cemetery (VA). Once you are in the cemetery, people will direct you where to park.
