News Death Notice

TERRY, Dian passed away at Hospice on February 16, 2013. She was born to Jack and Mary Lee (Edwards) Terry on July 9, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Donna Moreau, great nephew, Bryan Moreau and her great great grandfather Texas U.S. Senator Thomas Jefferson Rusk. She is survived by her nephew, Michael Moreau, great niece Michelle Moreau, great nephew Logan Moreau, and many good friends including: Reva, Ellen, Bruce, Marriott, Tim, Sue, Kate, Stephanie, Jason and all her fellow co-workers at Teradata. Dian graduated from the University of Texas in Austin 1969. She move to New York City and was the Press Secretary, New York ERA Campaign in 1975 and was Executive VP of New York National Organization for Women (NOW) in 1977. She then moved to Hong Kong and was Executive VP for Hill Knowlton Asia Ltd., Hong Kong Division and held various executive positions at NCR and Teradata Corporation. Dian loved to spend time with her great niece and nephew, gardening, and entertaining at her pool. She was an avid animal lover and active in women's rights movements. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Centerville United Methodist Church, 63 E. Franklin Street, Centerville, Ohio, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Greg Crabtree will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Society for the Improvement and Conditions of Stray Animals (SISCA), 2600 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45419, or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 in her memory.
