News Death Notice
LILLY, Dixie L. age 72, passed away on April 11, 2012. She was born on August 20, 1939 in Carthage, IN, to the late Thomas and Beulah Howard. Dixie was preceded in death by her son, "Jonboy" Lilly; two brothers, Thomas and Kenneth Howard. Dixie is survived by her husband of 57 years, William "John" Lilly; 3 children, William (Faith) Lilly, Sr., Tami (Leonard) Childress and Kae Lilly Jackson; 6 grandchildren, Stephen (Mary) Lilly, Jason (Kelly) Linville, Jennifer Finley, William "B.J." (Nikki) Lilly, Jr., Nikki Dodge and Meghan (Jacob) Willoughby; 11 great grandchildren, Eric, Kayla, Stevie, Brenna, Hailee, Shailey, Ethan, Braydn, Jason, Jr., Brycen, and Jayden; special friend, Alice; special sister-in-law, Norma; and other family members and good friends. Dixie retired from Dayton Public School system after 25 years of service and has touched many lives with her kindness. A visitation will take place on Monday April 16, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A funeral service will be held the following day on Tuesday April 17, 2012 at 12:30 pm. Burial to follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
