News Death Notice
SANFORD, Florence Louise (Ms. Louise) age 86 was born May 23, 1926 in Dayton, OH to Olivia Brown and Stephen Steed. She departed this life on Monday September 3rd 2012 at Friendship Village Nursing Home. Florence accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Dunbar High School (class of 44) and was a graduate of Howard University. She went on to become a Sunday school teacher at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a Housing Inspector. She was dedicated to her job with over 33 years of service. Florence (Grammy) was smart, kind, giving, understanding and always "Kept it Real." She was known for her wisdom, since of humor and Love for God. She also loved playing cards, and spending time with family. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her son; Clifford S. Sanford and brother; Robert Cartwright Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her son; Michael (Sheila) Sanford and Sharon O. Sanford, devoted granddaughter Qianya L. Sinclair, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Special friends include, Mr. Clifford (Patricia) Sanford, Shirley and Morgan Thomas, Vera Wortham and LeAndrea Allen. Memorial service will be held 11:30 Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Woodland Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave. Final deposition cremation. Online condolences may be expressed at: Loritts-NeilsonFH@att.net.
