News Death Notice

DICK, George E. age 76, of West Carrollton, passed away Thursday July 19, 2012 in the Kingston of Miamisburg. He was born September 14, 1935 in Morehead, Kentucky, the son of the late Reeland E. and Edna (McDaniels) Dick. George served his country in the United States Air Force and followed with employment as a supervisor with Aramark Uniform Services, retiring after 35 years. George was a member of the Middletown Basketball Officials Association Hall of Fame, the Dayton Amateur Softball Commission Hall of Fame, and a longtime member of the Falcon Club. George is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy (Olson) Dick; five children, Edward (Danielle), Alan, Barry (Carol), Jenny and Joe (Amanda); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister Norma (Hank) Wirth. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 22, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Monday July 23, 2012 at 10:00 A.M., Sue Phipps officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.BeltonStroup.com.
